Buckeye is wrapping up the holiday season with festive displays around the city and gearing up for a series of major events to kick off 2025.
Holiday Decorations Through New Year’s Day
Residents can still enjoy the city’s holiday decorations until Jan. 1, including:
- 6th Street Plaza: A new musical holiday tree that plays a 15-minute light and music show nightly starting at 5:30 p.m.
- Sundance Park: The popular Candyland-themed display.
- Skyline Park: Additional festive decorations.
These spots offer scenic opportunities for last-minute holiday photos before the displays are taken down.
Buckeye Marathon — Jan. 11, 2025
The 11th Annual Buckeye Marathon takes place on Saturday, Jan. 11, offering options for all levels of runners:
- Full marathon (Boston qualifier)
- Half marathon
- 10K and 5K races
- 1-mile fun run

Buckeye Air Fair — Feb. 14-16, 2025
The 2025 Buckeye Air Fair and AOPA Fly-In returns from Feb. 14 to 16 with three days of activities:
- Thrilling airshows featuring stunts and pyrotechnics
- Static aircraft and military displays
- A Kids Zone with family-friendly activities
- VIP viewing options for airshows
