A car fire closed parts of SR-85 south of downtown Buckeye near Patterson Road.
Buckeye Fire Fighters and state troopers responded to the scene south of Lewis Prison. First responders dispersed firefighting foam on the vehicle to extinguish the car fire.
“This occurred today at 9:21 am at milepost 137 southbound,” said Bart Graves with Arizona DPS. “It was a single-vehicle car fire with no injuries.”
The vehicle was in the process of being towed by the time InBuckeye arrived.
