Tucker's purple Dodge Charger broke down, leading her and her adult son, who has autism and significant support needs, to leave the car and seek shade. Shortly after, Tucker may have suffered a life-threatening medical emergency. Around 11 a.m. the same day, a state trooper found the abandoned vehicle near milepost 119 and had it towed.

Hope’s son, now with a relative, shared this information yesterday. The relative then called Phoenix Police. Buckeye Police quickly started a search operation.

Police discovered they had encountered Hope Tucker’s son on May 24th  when responding to an indecent exposure call at a QT store on Watson Road. He was found urinating in public and appeared to be in medical distress. Buckeye Fire transported him to the hospital, where he stayed for about a month.

Buckeye Police have tried to ping Hope’s phone but without success. Search operations are ongoing, with police working with partner agencies for more resources. Tucker is 6′1″ and 220 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black shirt, white shorts and purple shoes. The public should avoid the search area.

Anyone with information on Hope Tucker’s whereabouts should call 911 or submit a tip online at www.buckeyeaz.gov/crimetip
