When smoke began filling a detached modular classroom at Sundance Elementary, Buckeye Fire Medical Rescue Department responded to what was assumed to be an active fire. With aid from Goodyear and Tolleson fire departments, the team ensured the building was clear of occupants and sought the source of the smoke.
The culprit: A faulty air conditioner.
According to BFMRD, the building was empty at the time and there were no injures. The Buckeye Fire Marshal is investigating the situation further.
