Awarded: Street sweeper, $373,182
- From: Maricopa Association of Governments
- For: Submitted in October, the grant allows for the replacement of a 9-year-old street sweeper with a new PM-10 Certified Street Sweeper.
- Stipulations: $349,488 provided by MAG and $33,694 from the city.
Submitted: Community Wildfire Protection Plan, $275,000
- From: U.S. Department of Agriculture
- For: The creation of a Community Wildfire Protection Plan, covering a year-long development period. The plan would provide a "roadmap of suggested actions to take to prevent wildfires," according to city documents.
- Stipulations: $250,000 provided from USDA and $25,000 from the city.
