When is trash day in Buckeye?

Buckeye residents will transition to a same-day trash and recycling collection system beginning the week of March 3, 2025, the city announced.

The change means both trash and recycling will be picked up on the same day, a shift aimed at streamlining waste services across the city. Collection schedules will vary by neighborhood, with residents divided into zones:

  • Monday (Zone 1): Tartesso, West Phoenix Estates, Westpark, neighborhoods west of Miller Road, and downtown areas along the MC-85 Corridor.
  • Tuesday (Zone 2): Sundance (south of Yuma), Watson Estates, Rancho Vista, Dove Cove, Miller Manor, Riata West, and Sonoran Vista.
  • Thursday (Zone 4): Sundance (north of Yuma), Blue Horizons, Vista De Montana, and neighborhoods east of Jackrabbit.
  • Friday (Zone 5): Verrado and Sienna Hills. In Verrado, carts will be collected at the driveway edge using rear-load vehicles, and collection pads will no longer be required.
  • Festival Ranch: Divided into five zones, each with a designated collection day.

A map and full schedule are available at buckeyeaz.gov/trash.

The new system marks a change from the city’s previous collection process, with officials encouraging residents to review the updated schedule and prepare for their assigned collection day.
