Buckeye City Council presented members of the Buckeye Youth Council with leadership awards at its May 20 meeting. The honors are given to recognize those who engage in community service activities beyond the regular BYC projects.
Awards were given to the following students:
- Paige Black, Youth Leader Award
- Haylee Mosher, Excellence in Youth Leadership Award
- Hanna Hernandez, Excellence in Youth Leadership Award
- Jayden Bugarin, Excellence in Youth Leadership Award
- Madee Guy, Excellence in Youth Leadership Award
- Maleah Davis, Excellence in Youth Leadership Award
Mayor Eric Orsborn also recognized Sarah Silk, assistant to the Buckeye City Council, who leads the BYC program: “Sara … has done an awesome job with the Buckeye Youth Council and taken that to another level every year."
