Buckeye puts city manager on admin leave for 60 days

The Buckeye City Council named Dave Roderique as the city’s interim city manager during an Executive Session on March 21, 2025. During the same meeting, the council also elected to place Dan Cotterman on paid administrative leave for a period not to exceed 60 days.

Roderique has been with Buckeye since 2017 and served as the Economic Development Director for the city of Buckeye from July 2017 until 2022. Dave was appointed in 2022 to serve as the Deputy City Manager, and he currently oversees all development-related functions.

“The entire City Council is confident Mr. Roderique can continue leading the city during this interim time to ensure we stay on track with our strategic planning and sustainable growth initiatives,” said Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn.

The city considers the move a personnel matter and is unable to provide additional information.
