Approximately five acres of land at S. Apache Rd. and the south frontage of Beloat Road has been approved for annexation into the City of Buckeye. Currently zoned Maricopa County rural-43, the decision by Buckeye City Council at its April 15 meeting also approved for the land's rezoning to residential-43, the closest equivalent to the county's current zoning. The property is owned by Virgil and Connie Ezell.
"The annexation will bring additional developable land within the City of Buckeye limits and ensure that future development complies with City codes and standards," reads city documents.
The April 15 meeting included a second required public hearing on the property annexation with no speakers present, as was also the case at the first March 18 public hearing.
