Walmart recently purchased two industrial properties along Southern Avenue in Buckeye, adding nearly 80 acres to its West Valley holdings.
The first deal closed July 30. Walmart paid $11,818,700 for approximately 39 acres near State Route 85 and Southern Avenue. Scottsdale-based Cardinal Capital Co. sold the property.
Then, on Aug. 5, Walmart paid $9,566,992 for another 40-acre site next to its existing Buckeye distribution center. That property sits near the southeast corner of Apache and Maricopa roads.
Together, the purchases totaled approximately $21.4 million. The properties are about 5 miles apart and are not adjacent. Walmart has not announced what it plans to develop on the land.
