When Lance and Rochelle Dethloff's boss approached them about buying a portion of his pool business, things were set in motion for the budding Buckeye entrepreneurs.
“Little did he know we had been praying and brainstorming ideas on how one day we could come to own our very own pool business,” Rochelle said. “A year later, we were off on our own on this adventure.”
The local couple started Water Walking Pool Service & Repair over five years ago. Since then, it’s been a whirlwind.
Where are you and your family from, and what is your background?
I am an Arizona native, and after serving five years in the Air Force, I made it back to sunny Arizona. My husband is a long-time resident of Arizona, but originally from the Great Lakes of Michigan. We have three boys and two fur babies! There is never a dull moment in our house, nor a quiet one! Our oldest boy is 13 and he is our athlete. Our middle son is 2½ years old; he is our sweetie pie. Our youngest is 11 months and he is Mr. Independent. Our family hobbies are movie nights, playing sports, swimming and traveling.
What are some services that you offer and how can people pay?
Some of the services we offer are weekly maintenance, equipment repair, equipment installation, green to clean, acid washes, automation features and more. We aim to provide maximum productivity to stay competitive in the market. We are committed to offering personalized support, for example, flexible payment options and accessible communication.
What is your motivation for getting into the pool business?
The opportunity to make a positive impact, even if it’s on a small scale, is our motivation. We love what we do, so being the best at it is our goal.
