Buckeye police acted quickly; three teens were arrested, and a stolen firearm was recovered after a Buckeye police investigation into an incident of escalating violence at Buckeye Town Park.
Initial Confrontation
The investigation began after a report of a confrontation on July 24, 2024. Just after 9 p.m., three armed males allegedly threatened to shoot a group of people during an argument. The suspects fled before police arrived. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Investigation Details
Police identified the teen suspects using surveillance footage from park cameras and data from license plate readers. Old-fashioned detective work also played a crucial role in locating them.
Arrests and Recovery
This month, Buckeye police arrested two 16-year-old males and one 17-year-old male. They were apprehended at different locations across the city. The final arrest took place on August 12, 2024. Additionally, a stolen gun was recovered from one of the teen suspect’s homes.
Charges Filed
All three teens have been charged with multiple criminal offenses. The investigation is ongoing.
