Police are investigating possible impairment after a head-on collision left at least one person injured Monday afternoon near the southeast corner of Miller Road and Durango Street.
The crash, which involved two sedans — a red Nissan and a blue Nissan — was reported around 1:45 p.m., according to Buckeye police. One vehicle was loaded onto a tow truck while the other showed heavy front-end damage as officers and a cleanup crew worked to clear debris from the intersection.
“Buckeye police are on scene a two vehicle crash near Miller and Durango. Call came in around 1:45 p.m. today. At least one person with a minor injury. Officers are investigating impairment as a possible factor,” the department said in a statement.
No additional details about the drivers or any potential citations or arrests were immediately available. Part of the intersection was temporarily closed while police investigated and the vehicles were removed.
