A routine noise complaint last Friday resulted in the discovery of some 230 grams of methamphetamine and a firearm, leading to the arrest of a woman on drug and weapons charges, according to a Buckeye Police Department statement.
According to Buckeye police, officers were dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 to a property near Maricopa and Pima Roads after reports of loud music. Upon arrival, they found a man and a woman standing outside a jeep and a truck parked on the premises.
Officers recognized the home as a condemned property and questioned the pair about their presence. The woman, who had no known ties to the residence, was taken into custody for trespassing. During the arrest, officers discovered a substantial quantity of methamphetamine and a handgun in her vehicle. She now faces multiple drug and firearm-related charges.
The man was cited for driving the truck without a valid license, registration or insurance.
