Drivers traveling along Miller Road can now enjoy a smoother and more efficient commute as the widening project between Durango Street and Lower Buckeye Road nears completion. The roadway has officially reopened to traffic, featuring added travel lanes, new turning lanes, and freshly paved surfaces designed to improve both flow and safety for residents and visitors.
City officials noted that only finishing touches remain, including final striping and minor adjustments, which are expected to be completed soon. The improvements are part of Buckeye’s ongoing investment in transportation infrastructure to support rapid growth and increasing traffic volumes across the city.
Meanwhile, work is continuing on the next phase of the corridor. The widening project, extending from Lower Buckeye Road to Southern Avenue, is already underway and is projected to wrap up by the end of the year. Once completed, the expanded corridor will provide more consistent travel capacity and better access to nearby neighborhoods, schools, and businesses.
