Grace 4-H kickoff meeting a success

Grace 4-H has officially started the 4-H season with a successful kickoff meeting. Grace 4-H is among the many 4-H clubs in the Buckeye community.

Grace 4-H Club’s first meeting started off with a bang. There were elections, over 130 people in attendance, many new faces, a special guest and a perfect location for it all! Keep on reading for more information.

On Sept. 9 Grace 4-H had its first meeting of the year. To start off the night, attendees had some pizza and hung out, and then called the meeting to order. They did the invocation, pledge of allegiance and the 4-H pledge. After that, they held elections with many highly qualified candidates; it was a close race.

The new president is Aryana Gerald. The new vice president is Paisley Ohlin. The new secretary is Kenzie Hardison. The new treasurer is Carly King. The new sergeants-at-arms are Copper Green and Mary Edwards. The new reporter is Sadie Hopper.

"We look forward to seeing the great things they do for our club," Hopper said. "We had a great turnout for our first meeting with new and old faces. We loved to see them all."

The special guest was Aaron Phillips, who is the Arizona District Manager of Kahoots. Phillips spoke about the impact that 4-H makes on people's lives and how important 4-H is in developing good work ethic and character.

Grace 4-H thanked Rustique Acresfor the venue.
