Buckeye Fire Department responded to a report of a possible garbage fire today near the intersection of Southern Avenue and Watson Road.
A Republic Services garbage truck driver believed his load was on fire, spurring him to pull into a dirt lot near a residential area. Following protocols, after he located a clear area, he dumped the load and called the Buckeye Fire Department, according to Assistant Fire Chief Rayne Gray.
InBuckeye responded to the scene but found no signs of fire. Gray later confirmed that personnel could not locate any signs of fire.
