Buckeye’s third Fry’s supermarket will officially open on Aug. 29, the city confirmed Wednesday.
The new Fry’s, located at the southeast corner of Miller Road and Broadway Road, had previously been projected to open in August or September, but the city now says the grocery store is set to debut by the end of August.
The 123,000-square-foot supermarket will anchor an 18-acre retail development led by Phoenix-based Barclay Group. The site includes a fuel canopy with pumps, which appear to be near completion. Inside the store, shelving has been installed, and registers and aisles are roughly halfway completed, according to city officials.
The Fry's will feature a 24-hour, 18-pump fuel center, a drive-thru pharmacy, a Starbucks and other amenities. It will also offer online order pickup services.
When the development is fully built out, Fry’s will be joined by Taco Bell, Black Rock Coffee Bar, Barro’s Pizza, Thai Chili 2go, Swig, Tropical Smoothie Café, Jersey Mike’s and Great Clips across another 29,300 square feet of retail space.
