Downtown Buckeye restaurant Cafe 25:35 will close its doors after approximately 13 years, according to a Facebook post.
The restaurant, which opened in the summer of 2012, will close its doors for the last time on Sunday, according to its owner.
Buckeye City Councilman Tony Youngker, the owner, said it was a dream.
"The Cafe is a lifelong dream come true. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a chef and restaurant owner. I wanted to create a place for families and friends to gather. I wanted to do it place that has given me so much. There was never any question that Old Town is the right place to be," he said. "After countless eggs being flipped, thousands of gallons of gravy being made and an untold number of burgers served… Sunday, May 18th will be the last service for Cafe 25:35."
Youngker said the decision was not sudden, and he took time to decide who would be good candidates to fill their void.
"We were discerning with our choice as to who would follow us in the space. As for the building itself… It will be closed for a short time," he said. "A new concept will fill the space, and they will add their chapters to its story. I will let them introduce themselves."
The cafe's hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is closed on Mondays.
