The City of Buckeye’s Community Services Department has been officially reaccredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).
Buckeye first achieved accreditation 10 years ago. This year’s reaccreditation was announced during the Best of the Best Ceremony at the NRPA annual conference on September 17, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
CAPRA accreditation is the only national recognition for park and recreation agencies. It measures the quality of an agency’s operations, management, and community services. Reaccreditation signifies Buckeye’s successful adherence to 154 national standards, confirming its ongoing commitment to excellence and best practices in the field.
“This achievement underscores the dedication of Buckeye’s Community Services staff and its commitment to providing high-quality parks and recreation services for residents,” city officials said.
