Buckeye police have implemented a new emergency notification system to keep the community informed of severe weather, police incidents, missing persons, evacuations and other urgent situations impacting public safety. RAVE Alerts are being adopted by 911 centers statewide and are now available to anyone who lives, works, visits or travels through Buckeye.
To receive RAVE Alerts, you must register online or download the Smart911 mobile app available for Apple and Android phones and create an account. This service is free, though message and data rates may apply.
Alerts are customized to the locations you enter into your account. When an incident is happening near one of the locations entered, an alert will be sent via text message, email or voice messaging depending on your selected preferences. In the Smart911 mobile app, you can select “location-based alerts” which allows you to receive alerts in other Arizona communities based on your phone’s geographical location.
