The Buckeye Police Department has unveiled a new pink patch as it kicks off this year’s Pink Patch Project to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer.
The department is once again joining law enforcement agencies across the country to sell limited-edition patches, coins, and T-shirts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Proceeds support Bosom Buddies of Arizona, a nonprofit that provides education, advocacy, and support for those battling the disease.
Buckeye police adopted a new standard blue and gold patch design for their uniforms earlier this year. The pink version, created specifically for the fundraiser, is available for $10. Supporters can also purchase a Pink Patch Project T-shirt for $25 and commemorative coins for $20 at www.buckeyeaz.gov/pinkpatch
