UPDATE: As of 10:01 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, G. Patrick Hagestad leads Pamela Croff by 444 votes in Buckeye’s District 4 City Council race. Hagestad has received 2,316 votes, or 55.16%, while Croff has received 1,872 votes, or 44.58%. The unofficial results also include 11 write-in votes, bringing the total votes cast in the contest to 4,199. Maricopa County Elections will continue updating the results until officials count all remaining ballots.
The first unofficial results from Buckeye’s 2026 City Council election put G. Patrick Hagestad ahead of Pamela Croff in the city’s only contested council race.
In District 4, voters cast 4,279 ballots. Hagestad received 2,141 votes, or 55.54%, while Croff received 1,714 votes, or 44.46%. As a result, Hagestad leads by 427 votes. Meanwhile, turnout stands at 31.63%.
By comparison, voters faced no competition in Districts 5 and 6.
In District 5, incumbent James P. Subjack received all 1,353 votes. However, turnout reached just 16.46%.
Likewise, Clay Goodman ran unopposed in District 6 and received all 3,170 votes. Turnout there reached 21.96%.
Although election officials are still counting ballots, Hagestad currently leads Buckeye’s only contested City Council race.
