Buckeye awards nonprofit community funding program grants

Buckeye’s Nonprofit Community Funding Program grant awards for Fiscal Year 2026 have been finalized.

This year, 34 applications were submitted by 32 nonprofits serving Buckeye residents with important and valuable programs. The Buckeye City Council approved funding for 19 organizations at the Sept. 16 council meeting.

"With many impactful proposals, the decisions were not easy for the grant panelists," said the city in a statement. "The nonprofits selected represent a diverse range of services that align with the city’s priorities and will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents."

The grants total $124,000 and will go to 19 nonprofits that provide services directly to Buckeye residents. This year’s recipients are:

  • A New Leaf ($5,000)
  • All Faith Community Services ($30,000)
  • AZ Community Impact ($2,500)
  • Buckeye Police Foundation ($15,000)
  • Friends of the Southwest Family Advocacy Center ($2,500)
  • Gervonni Cares ($5,000)
  • Girasol ($4,000)
  • Helping Families in Need ($5,000)
  • I Am Hear ($4,000)
  • Mirna's Place - Site Improvement ($15,000)
  • Mission of Mercy ($3,000)
  • R.O.S.E. Resources & Outreach for Safeguarding the Elderly ($2,000)
  • Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Inc. ($3,000)
  • Sounds of Autism ($5,000)
  • Southwest Lending Closet ($6,000)
  • Village Community and Recreation Center ($4,000)
  • VFW Post 12098 ($5,000)
  • Women4Women ($3,000)
  • Youth4Youth ($5,000)

Be on the lookout for next fiscal year’s application process which will begin in June 2026 at BuckeyeAZ.gov.
