UPDATE 9:47 AM 09/03/2026: Court documents cited by other Arizona news outlets provide additional details about the alleged threat. Documents show Booker has been released on her own recognizance without bond.
According to those documents, the authorities received an alert from the Arizona Counterterrorism Information Center. The Instagram post was reportedly uploaded at 1:58 p.m. while Booker was working at WestPark Elementary.
Meta later provided location information placing the account at the school. During a recorded police interview, Booker allegedly admitted making the post and acknowledged the seriousness of threatening a school.
Booker faces one count of threatening or intimidating and one count of interfering with an educational institution. KTAR reports a status conference is scheduled for Sept. 17. FOX 10 reports a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 21.
Buckeye Elementary School District officials said they cooperated with investigators. Police and the district continue to report there is no ongoing threat to the campus.

A Westpark Elementary School teacher’s aide is in jail after an Instagram post allegedly threatened a school shooting.
Buckeye police identified the employee as 21-year-old Sharde Booker. Police said Booker worked at the school as a paraprofessional.
Officers received a tip about the post on Sept. 1. Information linked to the post led investigators to Westpark Elementary School.
Detectives then identified Booker as the person behind the post, according to police. They worked with school resource officers to locate and arrest her that night.
Booker faces charges of interfering with an educational institution and threats.
After the arrest, police immediately notified school officials. Investigators determined there was no ongoing threat to the campus.
Buckeye police said they continue working with local schools to protect students, teachers, and staff.
The charges are allegations. Booker is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
