Buckeye firefighters helped deliver a baby girl on the side of Interstate 10 this morning after a mother went into labor near Verrado Way.
According to the Buckeye Fire Department, the crew from Engine 703, with support from AZ Fire Medical’s Medic 321, responded quickly to the roadside emergency.
“This morning, the crew from Engine 703, with support from @azfiremedical Medic 321, helped bring a beautiful baby girl into the world on the side of I-10 at Verrado Way,” the department said in a social media post. “Both mom and baby are doing well, and we’re grateful for the quick, skilled response of our firefighters and Medics who responded with speed and skill.”
The department also welcomed the newborn in its post: “Welcome to the world, little one!”
