Rep. Paul Gosar last night announced in Buckeye that he will run a bid for an eighth term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Gosar campaigner Steve Walsh in a voicemail to InBuckeye described the announcement as a "full room" and an "exciting, high-octane event" with many prominent MAGA Republicans present, namely U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), rumored to challenge the Trump-endorsed Karrin Taylor Robson in the GOP primary to face Gov. Katie Hobbs next year.
Gosar, 66-year-old Republican of Mohave County, represents Arizona's Ninth Congressional District, a Republican safe haven that sprawls from the northwest corner of the state to Yuma and the West Valley.
“I want to start this fever, and that’s why I’m here,” Gosar told the Arizona Republic yesterday. “Trump has given us the blueprint, and now the fight is in Congress.”
The GOP Primary Election is Aug. 4, 2026.
