Construction is set to begin today on a $1.97 million project that will widen and resurface Miller Road between Lower Buckeye Road and Southern Avenue.
Crews will add one lane in each direction and restripe the roadway to improve traffic flow along the busy corridor. The project also includes pavement resurfacing for a smoother commute.
At Warner Street, the lane configuration will be modified to include two left-turn lanes, and traffic signals will be adjusted to better align with travel patterns and demand.
Work is scheduled to continue through December.
City officials said the project is designed to ease congestion and prepare for continued growth in the area. Motorists should plan for lane restrictions and delays during construction.
