With the Buckeye City Council set to certify the election results next week, InBuckeye sat down with candidate Pamela Croff to discuss the outcome, reflect on her campaign, and find out what comes next.
Q: What are your thoughts on the outcome?
A: While the outcome isn't what I had hoped for, I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished. Running against an eight-year incumbent in my first campaign was a tremendous learning experience, and I am proud of the support we received and the numbers we achieved. This campaign gave me valuable insight into the political process, and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I will absolutely be back to run again in the next election without hesitation.
Q: Looking back, what are you most proud of from your campaign, and is there anything you would have done differently?
A: I am most proud of building meaningful connections with residents throughout the community and earning the trust and support of so many people. For my first time running for office, I believe we ran a strong campaign, and I'm proud of what we accomplished. Every campaign is a learning experience, and I've gained lessons that will make me an even stronger candidate in the future. Those lessons will only help me better serve our community moving forward.
Q: What message would you like to share with the residents who supported you and those who participated in the election?
A: To everyone who supported me, volunteered, encouraged me, and cast a vote for me—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your belief in me means more than I can express. Even though I didn't win this election, my commitment to our community has not changed. I am here to support our residents in any way I can, and I will continue to stay involved, advocate for our community, and work to make a positive difference. I also look forward to meeting even more people throughout the community in the years ahead.
Q: Do you plan to remain involved in the community or consider seeking public office again?
A: Absolutely. This campaign has only strengthened my commitment to serving our community. I will remain actively involved, continue building relationships, and support efforts that make our community stronger. And yes—you will definitely see my name on the ballot again next election. This experience has only motivated me to keep working, keep learning, and come back even stronger.
