Nearly 4 acres of light manufacturing land was annexed into the City of Buckeye Tuesday.
Unanimously approved during the March 4 regular Buckeye City Council meeting, the area currently is an active wood paneling manufacturing site located approximately 1,107 feet south of the southwest corner of Jackrabbit Trail and Roosevelt Street, according to city documents and a presentation by Senior Planner of Special Projects Andrea Marquez.
The land is about ⅓ mile south of Interstate 10. It is owned by Jackrabbit Trail Properties LLC.
The annexation is slated for the construction of a storage facility.
A public hearing was held Feb. 4 and a second was on the agenda yesterday, however, no members of the public requested to speak.
