Buckeye man caught selling stolen goods online after spree of burglaries

A 29-year-old Buckeye man faces multiple burglary charges following a series of incidents in October and November that involved stolen tools, coins, and household appliances.

According to Buckeye Police Department reports, the first burglary occurred on Oct. 15, when a residence was broken into, and items including U.S. currency coins, collectible stamps, and comic books were stolen. Landon Pace later admitted to receiving and selling the stolen coins for $700.

In a second incident on Oct. 25, surveillance footage captured Pace removing a washing machine from another residence. Police say he confessed to breaking in and trading the machine for 50 "M30" pills, a street term for counterfeit oxycodone tablets often laced with fentanyl.

On Oct. 26, Pace allegedly sold a stolen utility trailer for $300 after advertising it online. The trailer was later recovered by its rightful owner after being flagged during registration. Pace admitted to selling the item despite knowing it was stolen.

The report also details two burglaries involving the same victim’s work vehicle. On Oct. 21, Pace reportedly stole tools from a driveway before being chased and physically stopped by the victim, who recovered the stolen items. Surveillance footage corroborated the victim's account. A month later, on Nov. 24, Pace targeted the same vehicle, stealing Milwaukee-brand power tools. Police, posing as buyers on Facebook Marketplace, set up a meeting with Pace to recover the stolen tools. When officers arrived, Pace fled but was apprehended shortly after.

Post-Miranda, Pace admitted to the burglaries, stating that he sold stolen goods to fund drug purchases. Officers recovered all five tools and confirmed their serial numbers matched those reported stolen.

Pace is currently in custody and faces charges including third-degree burglary and theft. His case remains under investigation, with authorities emphasizing the importance of community vigilance in preventing property crimes.
