The armada of recreational vehicles, pickups and horse trailers filing through town this weekend are here for the Sherry Cervi Youth Championships taking place at the Buckeye Equestrian Center.
Several hundred young barrel racers from around the region are on the contestant list, each bringing at least one horse, many expected to ride more than one in various go-rounds.
Cervi, an accomplished rodeo barrel racer who conducts youth championship events throughout the country, will be at the event for a question-and-answer session with competitors on Friday afternoon.
