Arizona Highway Patrol officials released more details about two Dec. 4 incidents following high-speed events on Interstate 10 near the Highway 85 interchange in Buckeye.
On that Thursday, a trooper was driving westbound on I-10 when he observed a vehicle driving with no lights on going more than “101 miles per hour,” according to the report.
The report states that as the vehicle’s lane ended, it continued driving on the right emergency shoulder to pass a semi-trailer and then made “multiple unsafe lane changes through traffic.”
During the traffic stop, the trooper learned that the driver had failed to register his vehicle and did not have insurance. He was charged with criminal speeding and reckless driving; he was also issued civil citations, and his vehicle was impounded for 20 days.
The driver’s name has not yet been released.

The trooper paced the vehicle, which then “moved over one lane and attempted to challenge the trooper to a street race as the trooper was patrolling in an unmarked Dodge Challenger,” the report states.
“During the traffic stop, three young children were observed in the back seat without seatbelts on,” the report states “The driver was charged with criminal speeding, reckless driving, and three counts of endangerment for each minor in the vehicle. His vehicle was impounded for 20 days.”

20 days impound??? For real!
Three innocent children held captive by an irrational driver and not cared about to even fasten seat belts before he decided to do a drag dance !
Unregistered and no insurance ! Tells you they don’t care about the laws we as drivers uphold everyday costing us a fortune in insurance and registration and smog fees and mechanical repairs ! Were these his children?
Were they confiscated ??
And how was the mother of these children questioned and grilled about allowing her kids to even get into that car with that driver!
