A Buckeye man faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon related to Tuesday’s shelter-in-place advisory at a local apartment complex.

Buckeye police dispatchers issue a RAVE Alert at about 2 p.m., advising residents at the Riverwood Apartment complex near Miller and Beloat roads to stay indoors.

Police eventually arrested 21-year-old Andre Holloway and booked him into jail on charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, threatening and endangerment.

Police responded to the apartments when a call came in about to a man threatening to shoot a woman in the apartment. Police helped the woman to safely leave the apartment with her infant child, according to Buckeye police.

Police stated that the man ran into a bedroom and refused to come out, but after Buckeye police SWAT responded to the scene, the suspect was taken into custody.

Investigators seized two handguns found in the home.

The shelter-in-place alert was lifted at about 3:20 p.m.
