Buckeye “Ready 2 Work” job readiness workshops and labs

The City of Buckeye Economic Development, Buckeye Library System, and Maricopa County Workforce Development are collaborating to offer free workshops and labs to assist residents in their job search efforts. These sessions provide essential skills and one-on-one support for individuals seeking employment or a career change.

Participants can choose to attend workshops, labs, or both. A Maricopa County Workforce Development representative will be available for personalized assistance before and after each session. While registration is preferred, the process is straightforward:

  1. Identify Classes: Select the desired classes from the list below.
  2. Register: Filter the library events calendar with "Buckeye Ready 2 Work," choose a class, and register.
  3. Participate: Attend the classes and engage in the activities.

Upcoming Workshops and Labs

Resume Writing Workshop

This session guides participants through formatting and writing a professional resume.

Resume Writing Lab

A hands-on lab where attendees can use computers to create and enhance their resumes with guided assistance.

Basic Computer Skills Workshop

Ideal for job seekers needing to boost their confidence and skills for an effective job search.

Job Search Lab

Participants will learn to identify job titles and keywords, prepare for job applications, and receive resources like job leads and tracking tools.

Interview Workshop

This workshop covers researching potential employers, interview attire, self-introduction techniques, and practicing responses to common interview questions.

Financial Empowerment

Designed for individuals seeking financial management tips, this workshop covers budgeting, saving, credit, and debt management.
