Click It or Ticket starts today, according to a post on social media.
Highway Patrol State Troopers are joining law enforcement agencies in Buckeye and nationwide in the seat belt enforcement campaign through May 31.
Troopers will be conducting statewide high-visibility patrols focused on enforcing seat belt and child restraint laws.
“With support from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety this effort aims to educate motorists and increase compliance with Arizona’s seat belt requirements,” according to a statement from the Arizona Department of Public Safety. “Buckling up is not just the law, it could save your life in the event of a collision. Before you get on the road, double-check to make sure everyone in the car is safe and ready to roll. We'll see you on the road.”
