Buckeye is proud to continue the Hometown Heroes Banner Program, which showcases men and women of Buckeye’s military veterans and active-duty service members.

Banners featuring Buckeye’s Hometown Heroes will be prominently displayed on the 30 streetlight poles along Monroe Avenue in downtown Buckeye.

Each year, thousands of residents and visitors alike will see the tribute to those who have courageously served our nation. The banners will be updated and displayed annually from mid-May to mid-July, creating a lasting visual honor for our heroes.

To honor someone, individuals must either be serving in the U.S. Armed Forces or be a veteran who received an honorable discharge. They must also be a current or former Buckeye residents or have close family members who live in the city.
