InBuckeye magazine held its grand opening Friday in downtown Buckeye.
The Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce was in attendance and played a key role in organizing the grand opening. Next-door neighbor and Buckeye City Councilman Curtis Beard was in attendance.
“We are excited to have the newspaper here in the downtown area,” he said. "There are a lot of places they could have gone, including Verrado. Having the office downtown really means a lot to me.”
Beard said there was a time when Buckeye had four papers, and then it shrunk down to zero.
Owner and publisher Scott Bartle said he believes there is a unique opportunity here.
“We are all about hyper local, which is 100% Buckeye, 100% for you guys,” he said. “Whether it's the content we produce, the advertising relationship, everything is to build the community of Buckeye. We're thrilled to fill the gap that we think exists here with news and information.”
