From the City of Buckeye Fire Department Facebook page, the Buckeye Aquatics Center will host a Free Pool Day on Saturday, the 28th, courtesy of United Buckeye Firefighter Charities. This community event invites residents to enjoy a day of swimming at no cost while also raising awareness about water safety.
A planned mock drowning training drill is scheduled to take place at approximately 1 p.m. The exercise, conducted by the City of Buckeye Fire Department in collaboration with the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority, aims to train lifeguards and first responders in effective water rescue procedures.
Visitors are advised that the training is only a simulation and there is no cause for concern. Public awareness and understanding are appreciated, as such drills play a critical role in enhancing emergency response.
Free hot dogs will also be available during the event, while supplies last.
