Walking into Barbon Asadero, you feel like you've arrived in downtown Buckeye. The dark, elegant decor and industrial seating contrast nicely with the brick and concrete walls, creating an ambience resembling upscale places in Phoenix and Scottsdale. According to some customers in attendance, Barbon Asadero is a gift to Buckeye residents if they can support it.
On Wednesday, Fox 10 News stopped by to see the Mexican steakhouse. Not just to stop by and try the latest Mexican food, but to experience the charm and romance of one of downtown Buckeye's evening destinations.
It's not the first time restaurateur Isai Martinez has been a part of a TV feature.
"We've done a few others with our food truck and our other location," Martinez said.
He and his wife, Claudia Martinez, started off small, selling tacos from their home. Then, they went all in with a food truck and eventually opened at a Holiday Inn Hotel. All their hard work came to fruition in January when they had their grand opening in downtown Buckeye.
They're located at 343 E. Monroe Avenue, Suite 105. The Martinez family will be featured on Fox 10's website.
