This Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, the Verrado community invites runners and walkers to “sleigh” the day at the 2nd Annual "Buckeye Santa Run."
Whether you’re sprinting for a 10K or strolling the 1-mile walk, this festive event offers a holly-jolly way to stay active.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of tree-lined streets, manicured parks, and the White Tank Mountains, the event begins at 8 a.m. at The Center on Main. Race-day packet pickup runs from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., but participants are encouraged to pick up packets early on Friday, Dec. 13, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Finishers will take home a medal, and the runner with the most spirited Santa outfit will win a prize — so don’t be afraid to get a little Claus-trophobic in your holiday best.
While this family-friendly event is open to all ages, pets will have to sit this one out.
Registration remains open for the 10K ($55) and 5K ($45), though the 1-mile walk is already full.
