On Saturday morning, community members, project partners and local leaders gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Church at Sun Valley’s future Buckeye campus, an 8-acre development designed to serve as a vibrant gathering place for worship, connection, learning, and community engagement.
The milestone is especially meaningful for the congregation, which currently meets for service in the gym at Festival Foothills Elementary School.
Concord General Contracting and CCBG Architects are partnering to bring the new campus to life. The project will include the Church at Sun Valley, Taste and See Coffee Shop, an ice cream shop, an amphitheater, shaded outdoor gathering spaces, and a future City of Buckeye Library.
Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn attended the groundbreaking and spoke about the importance of the project for the city’s continued growth.
“Today represents an investment in the future of this community,” said Mayor Orsborn.
The future campus is designed to be more than a place of worship. With welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces, community amenities, and future library services, the development will create a destination where residents can gather, connect, and grow together.
Once complete, the new Church at Sun Valley campus will provide Buckeye residents with a dynamic space that supports faith, family, education, and community life. The groundbreaking marks an exciting step forward for the growing city and reflects a shared commitment to creating spaces that serve people for generations to come.
