As part of Buckeye’s multi-year downtown revitalization plan, the Monroe Avenue Restriping Project (Miller to Eason) will introduce key updates to the corridor.
Following community input and public meetings, City Council approved a new three-lane configuration that will make for safer turns, easier access and smoother traffic flow.
The Plan:
- Keep one lane in each direction
- Add a continuous center left-turn lane
- Maintain parallel parking on both sides
The Timeline:
- March 16-20: Utility verification
- Late May: Surface prep & stripe removal
- June: Road surface treatment
- June to August: New striping installed
City officials state that the goal was “investing in a more walkable, vibrant downtown Buckeye.
