The City of Buckeye invites Arizona artists, teams and organizations to submit qualifications to design two-dimensional artwork for traffic signal control cabinets throughout the city.
Selected artists will create high-quality digital designs that will be printed as vinyl wraps at locations visible to drivers and pedestrians. Themes include Buckeye heritage and agriculture, desert mountains and ecosystems, the role of rivers in the desert, and urban aviation-inspired growth.
Applicants should submit a portfolio of five works and brief statements on practice, community connection, and approach to desert sunrise, sunset, or nighttime imagery. The project pays $1,200 per artist. The city covers printing and installation.
How to apply: Submit materials by September 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Arizona time via Submittable at https://buckeye-arts.submittable.com/submit.
