The Buckeye Police Police Department conducted its monthly testing which typically yields only a fraction of viable candidates from among those who try out, according to a statement from the BPD.
“More than 30 police recruit candidates gave their all for a chance at serving with the Buckeye Police Department,” states a BPD post on social media. “From completing the obstacle course, dummy drag, 500-yard run, and scaling the 6-foot wall, candidates put in the work with Buckeye police cheering them on!”
A variety of reasons disqualify candidates, according to the department, but police departments across the country with similar hiring requirements “have these same hiring challenges.”
