A popular community tradition is making its return Sept. 5 as Buckeye night markets and First Friday kick off in Hobo Joe Square. Hosted on the first and third Fridays of the month from September through May, the event will run from 5 to 9 p.m. at 109 S. 5th Street in downtown Buckeye.

The evening market will feature artisan and craft vendors, live music, entertainment, and a wide variety of food trucks. Organized by Food Trucks Mafia, the event aims to bring together families, local creators, and food lovers in a lively, open-air setting.

In past seasons, visitors have strolled past rows of food trucks serving everything from tacos to specialty drinks, while live musicians performed in the heart of the market. Crowds filled the pathways between vendor tents, browsing handmade jewelry, colorful candles, home décor, and gourmet treats. Families gathered to enjoy street food at picnic tables, and children joined in activities such as mini-golf under the shadow of Buckeye’s iconic Hobo Joe statue.

Vendors have included local artisans selling natural bath products, fresh juices, dog treats, and on-site custom bracelet-making.

In addition to the Friday night market, organizers plan to introduce a Saturday Morning Market at 8 a.m. on the first and third Saturdays, with more details coming soon.
