Buckeye police arrested a local man Sunday on multiple charges, including unlawful imprisonment, assault of a minor and a host of other felony and misdemeanor charges.
Emmanuel Josue Robles, 37, was jailed early Sunday morning after police responded to a call related to a domestic violence incident.

A caller told emergency dispatchers that a woman and a man were physically fighting before 911 was called.
According to court documents, Buckeye Police Department 911 operators “could hear a male in the background yelling to not call the police. The caller said the man had been drinking and had also struck a male occupant in the home in 1300 block of 224th Drive in Buckeye.
Prior to the 911 call, dispatchers received a call claiming that a black sedan “stopped in the roadway and a female was forced into the vehicle,” according to court documents. “It was later determined that these calls were related.”
When police arrived at the home, a woman – later identified as the woman who called 911 – came out, while the man “could be heard yelling from inside the residence,” according to court documents.
When the man came out of the home, he was “obviously agitated with yelling at the victim” and tried walking away, before police took him into custody, according to court documents.
The woman told police that earlier in the day she and the man were arguing in the car when he threw a beer at her, obstructing her vision, according to a police report obtained by InBuckeye.com. The woman then pulled over and began walking.
That’s when the man began driving and forced her back into the car, according to court documents.
“Roadway camera footage was obtained of the incident,” according to the documents. “In the footage the vehicle involved can be observed facing the wrong way of travel in the area of West Yuma Road at South Windmill Road.”
The video confirmed the woman’s story, according to court documents.
The man was charged with the following:
- Felony unlawful imprisonment;
- Felony aggravated driving under the influence with a passenger under 15;
- Felony aggravated DUI wrong way driving;
- Felony aggravated assault on a minor;
- And four related misdemeanor charges.
Other charges are related to a fight with another family member in the home after the man and woman arrived at the house.
Robles is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Maricopa County Superior Court.
