"This recognition, earned for six years straight, highlights Buckeye's commitment to transparency and accountability," said Daniel Bronis, Buckeye’s public information officer. "It shows our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in financial reporting, giving residents a clear view of the city's financial health."
An independent panel grants the award, ensuring the city meets transparency, complete disclosure standards, and adherence to accepted accounting principles and legal requirements.
The certificate is the highest honor in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
In a press release, Buckeye reaffirmed its commitment to responsible financial management and stated it will continue submitting ACFRs and other financial reports to the Government Finance Officers Association.
