The City of Buckeye provides financial support to local non-profit organizations through its FY 2025 Non-Profit Community Funding Grant Program. During the September 17th city council meeting, the council approved $95,000 in grants to several groups that serve Buckeye residents.

Seventeen applications were submitted, requesting over $200,000. A subcommittee, including elected officials and city staff, reviewed these requests. Ultimately, 12 non-profit groups were chosen to receive funding.

District 5 Councilmember Craig Heustis, who was a member of the subcommittee, took pause before the approval to thank the non-profits that applied.
