BJ’s Restaurant eyes Buckeye location near Verrado Way and I-10

A proposed rendering of the north elevation of BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse planned near Verrado Way and Roosevelt Street in Buckeye. The design features a signature grain silo, modern wood and brick finishes, and prominent signage above the main entrance.
A new BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse could be on the horizon in Buckeye, according to a recent business application submitted to the city.

The proposal outlines plans for a 7,691-square-foot full-service restaurant with an outdoor patio. The future BJ’s would be located at the southeast corner of Verrado Way and McDowell Road, just north of the I-10 freeway. The area features an expanding, high-traffic zone that is quickly becoming a hub for retail and dining development.

The application, filed by BJ’s Restaurants Inc., describes the new location as a sit-down, family-friendly establishment that will include an on-site bar and provide full meal service. Plans indicate hours of operation between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., with both indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate guests year-round.

The narrative included in the submission emphasizes BJ’s commitment to enhancing the local dining scene and meeting growing demand in the fast-growing Buckeye area. According to the city’s pre-application document, the proposed site will also feature landscaped areas and dedicated customer parking to support the restaurant’s operations. This project is still in its early review phase, with city officials evaluating the proposal as part of Buckeye’s development process.
If approved, the restaurant would join a wave of new commercial activity near Verrado Way and I-10, a corridor that is seeing continued development of Verrado Marketplace and Buckeye Commons retail offerings.

  1. we like BJ’s and would be very happy not to have to drive to Goodyear to eat at someplace that isn’t fast-food. after 11 years here we are finally getting some decent eateries.
